Blog Assignment #4: Love Language

                                  <3

I took the Love Language Quiz, which was easy to navigate through once I found the website.
The quiz consisted of 30 statements that others might do or say to show love to you. It will single out your primary love language, what it means, and how you can use it to connect with those closest to you and effectively enhance the relationships in your life. All you have to do is pick one item in each pair that you like better. It only takes 10 to 15 minutes to complete the profile. The highest score indicates your primary love language. The lower scores indicate those languages you seldom use to communicate love and which probably don’t affect you very much on an emotional level.

My scores were:
5
Words of Affirmation
5
Quality Time
3
Receiving Gifts
7
Acts of Service
10
Physical Touch

The quiz singled out my primary love language as Physical Touch.
A person whose primary language is Physical Touch is, not surprisingly, very touchy. Hugs, pats on the back, and thoughtful touches on the arm—they can all be ways to show excitement, concern, care, and love. Physical presence and accessibility are crucial, while neglect or abuse can be unforgivable and destructive.
After reading about this, I wasn't surprised to learn that my love language is Physical Touch because physical expressions show me more of how people care for me than expressions with words. However, I was surprised to learn that my lowest love language score was Receiving Gifts because I REALLY do like getting presents.

I found this activity fun and insightful; I would recommend this to anyone who wants to enhance their relationships with or get closer to people in their lives.

  2. Haha That made me laugh.. I think we all enjoy gifts to a certain extent :) but when it comes to your loved ones for me, it takes much more than gifts! I took this quiz as well and also enjoyed it, it was fun and kind of silly.

  8. This activity was a fun way to know a little more about your love lanuage. It seems most of us are into the physical touch, but im sure we do like a gift once in awhile as well. We seem to know what our language will be within the first 8 questions. I wish there were more questions for us to answer.
