Blog Assignment #5: Stress Reduction
The Stress Reduction I usually do is listening to music. I spend most of my time listening to Hawaiian music. It helps me keep my mind off other things that would stress me out. I choose music that is calm, relaxing, and slow, and sometimes, I would sing along to help me more to forget what else goes on around me. After I finish listening, I feel more relaxed and more in control of what I do, even after a nasty argument with anyone.
I do feel that this helps a lot with my stress; I would do it every time if I feel I need to either relax or get away from all the stresses in life.

ReplyDeleteHi Derek, I listen to music a lot, when I am nervous or sad, or even when I feel stress coming on. I like to listen to classical I find that it helps me to clear my head and get right mentally. My favorites composers are Shoubert, Stravinsky, and shoenberg to name a few. If you ever get a chance you should go to an Italian Opera I like to listen to this kind of music also. Oh and Ashley was saying how she incorporates breathing to help her distress and I think she had some really good tips to use.
ReplyDeleteI think you have a good choice on how you deal with a stressful situation. Music in general is realxing and Hawaiian music has a cool balance of lyrics and the music itself. Have you ever try 60's style Elvis songs?
